It is the intent of the Board of Supervisors to make every effort possible to comply with Pennsylvania's Right to Know law. As work progresses on this website we hope it stands as evidence of our commitment. Every bit of information possible to post in an electronic format will be posted to make access to records as easy as possible for everyone.
In addition we feel it is the right of the citizens to know where their tax dollars are spent. When someone makes a request for records and documentation from the township it costs time and labor. There is a dollar amount that can be tagged to that time and labor that for the most part, cannot be recovered. Starting with any Right to Know requests made on Jan. 1, 2010 we will post the following information. The requester, the nature of the request, the time spent researching and gathering documentation for the request, the dollars spent in filling the request, and the amount paid by the requester for hard copies.
